An annual review is not a relationship.

Blincoe clients have two reviews a year, and a WhatsApp group with their planner for everything in between.

Moving from your current planner

Most of the move is paperwork with your existing providers, and Stephen, our administrator, handles it.

Before anything moves, your planner will explain what's moving, when, and whether your current providers apply any exit charges.

What does it cost to switch?
Base set-up feeDesigning and creating your plan £500
Pension transfersPer pension over £50,000. Nothing below that. £500 each
ISA & GIA transfersPer account over £25,000. Nothing below that. £250 each

One-off fees, confirmed in writing before any work begins. Nothing is payable until your agreed plan is in place and the first contributions or transfers have completed.

What does ongoing planning cost?

There are four plans, from £200 to £500 a month, depending on how complex your finances are. The fee is fixed and doesn't rise as your portfolio grows.

What other costs are there?

Depending on your plan, there may be platform and fund charges. These aren't specific to Blincoe and you'd find them at almost any financial planning firm. The platform that holds your investments typically charges 0.15% to 0.20% a year, lower for larger portfolios. The funds themselves charge around 0.35% a year on our core investment proposition, paid to the fund managers, not to us. Your personal illustration confirms the exact figures before you commit.

Is the introductory call free?

Yes, and there's no obligation. The call, the analysis, the cashflow modelling and the presentation of your plan are all free. Fees only start once the plan you've agreed is in place.

Are you independent?

Yes. Blincoe isn't tied to any provider, so recommendations come from across the market. There are no platform kickbacks to us.

Does WhatsApp replace meetings?

Not at all. It is a supporting contact channel you can use, where your financial planner, paraplanner and admin can all support you with your queries. Reviews are still held by video call, and the group covers the months in between.
